This Saturday (March 9th) Norge Dental Center will once again open its doors to the community for ‘Dentistry from the Heart’ for the purpose of providing free dental services to our neighbors.
It is our opinion that the services we provide as part of this event not only help a patient’s teeth and overall health, but also give them a renewed hope and new reason to smile.
The feedback we receive from our patients inspires our practice and the many volunteers who choose to participate each year. Below is a letter sent to us from a patient after last year’s Dentistry from the Heart:
Dear Doctors (gentlemen all) Ladies and Gentlemen Staff and Volunteers,
I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the ‘love’ you spread on Saturday March 24, 2012 . You cannot imagine how many lives your hearts have touched and your efforts have blessed.
I was there for a cleaning because I had lost my dental coverage and was about 4 months overdue. When I saw your event on Channel 10 News, I thought of it as an answer to a prayer. To me and so many others I talked to that day, your charitable endeavor was a God-send.
There were people from all over the South region that came to receive your gift. I came from Norfolk and it was more than worth the drive.
In talking to various staff members (all of whom were very nice and professional) I found out that the planning for this event took at least six months. It goes to show that you all have the wherewithal to engineer an event like this and to inspire a pay-it-forward mentality in others. I know I will when I am able.
Please know that you have made a difference by design and you are all blessed by your giving and actions. It will not be forgotten.
I pray continued favor on you all and your practices. For those all the doctors who came from different practices, assistants, office personnel, volunteers (especially those in the rain), and to all that dared to undertake this effort, again many thanks. Peace and blessings.
